A Pokémon set that has been anticipated and hyped since its reveal, Destined Rivals, finally released for preorders on Pokemon Center this past Monday on March 24th. Featuring Team Rocket, this set is one of the best sets to release in a very long time, and as a result many were looking to be there when Pokémon Center released their exclusive Elite Trainer Box as well as their Booster Boxes and other products for the set. With the extreme hype and demand, as soon as the queue went live the site took a massive hit and began to slow. Many were flocking to get in the queue in time to have a chance to purchase.
Some people had success after waiting in queue for an hour or two, while many more people got kicked out of the website while attempting to buy, or got re-queued after payment declines. Most people with no assistance had a lot of difficulty with getting anything, leading to much frustration and outrage on social media.
Meanwhile, IHOF supplied members with accurate early links and ran auto-checkout assistance for our members. As a result of this, 90% of our members were able to get at least one ETB, while some were able to secure MULTIPLE orders! Were you able to secure anything from this release?
